These vines have been lollygagging around on the Honsberger property for 20-plus years, and this year they decided to use them. First, they wild fermented them, then they just left them sit fresh in the tank. This might be Kelly Mason’s (winemaker) most approachable / crushable wine, from anywhere, to date: orange blossom, ginger, spices, subtle green apple with a finish of white flowers … Plus the acidity and length of finish is on-point.
