Not since Meldville's first year has winemaker. Derek Barnett made a Chardonnay with the black dress and 4-in pumps in mind. The nose is peach, apple and butterscotch; those notes follow on the palate adds a little pineapple, some vanilla and enough acidity to keep it honest. In all honesty, it's a very seductive Chardonnay, no doubt about it – but, it is not made for the long haul. Take this one home and enjoy it tonight. You might feel dirty in the morning, but it'll have been a lot of fun the night before.  Price: $26.00 – Rating: ****+
