This is a purely Canadian wine: from indigenous yeast to barrels used – it is one of those wines that people either embrace because of its Canadiana backstory or because they just love Chardonnay – but it’s not for everyone’s taste because there are some rather odd notes to be found.  Coconut for instance, where it comes from no one knows, but it seems to reside in every bottle every year … there’s also bruised apple, vanilla, butter (all typical of Chardonnay) and some delicate spice that helps round out the juicy core. Sold out at the winery this wine is now only available through the LCBO Vintages locations, being released in both June and September 2017.
