(Re-Tasted May 2014) ... I simply love those nights when I walk into the cellar and I am guided by the hand of Bacchus to a beautiful bottle of wine. Tonight I had Pinot on the brain and this Coyote's Run 2006 Red Paw seemed the right way to go. Nose tells the tale here, earthy, strawberry and sour cherry with delicate floral notes. Palate has that Pinot Noir cran-cherry, with crushed and dried violets. There's just enough dried fruitiness and earthy character to make it delicious and definitely a Pinot Noir. This is ageing nicely and as a Red Paw leaner it's exactly where I thought it'd be.
