I know, I hear you saying it – these days Riesling is a dime a dozen … true enough, everyone is making them, and many of them are very good, so why in the world is he throwing another Riesling our way? Because my dear friends, variety is the spice of life and the more Riesling I tell you about the more you get to try, and Riesling is such an interesting grape that it’s always worth looking into. This little number comes from the Lake Erie North Shore from a little winery called Aleksander … the wine is ripe with peach, pear and a touch of apple; the palate follows along with the nose but dumps the apple cart and instead gives way to fresh juicy peach and sweet pear flavours … lovely.
