Well they certainly did get the name right with this wine, it certainly is fresh, vibrant and full of fruit. It was one of my favourites and most fun wines I tried during the judging of the Ontario Wine Awards, and each subsequent tasting of this wine finds me enjoying it more and more. Now, let me just state for the record, this is not a complicated wine, it is simplistic and summery and, as the name suggests, fresh; but sometimes that exactly what you should be drinking. The nose delivers peach, apple and sweet pear; while the palate has a lovely sweetness to it and juicy fruit: pear, melon and peach – good acidity and a fresh finish … you might be surprises to find out it’s Vidal, but it’s very good, so what do you care.
