Not exactly an exotic blend with equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc (33%), 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, but with a quarter of the grapes being dried it gives the wine an even greater richness (2012 was a big year to begin with). Full bodied to say the least at 14.9% alcohol; you'll find black cherry, creme de cassis, chocolate/cocoa and a nice spiced finish. Price: $29.95 - Rating: ****
