Who says you can't make good rose from Cabernet Sauvignon? I've heard it said but then I found this Penn Ridge version that flies in the face of popular thinking ... aromas show plenty of strawberry and red currant, which seems to flow their way onto the palate adding refreshment to the dry, slightly bitter (but welcomingly so) finish.  At 11.95 this is one you'll want to stock up on as it is excellent value in a dry, balanced and food friendly rose.  Price: $11.95 - Rating: ****
