Dave Johnson’s prowess with Sauvignon Blanc seems to get better every year. This 177 case production version should fly off of shelves as it is virtually summertime in a glass. Aromas are beautifully tropical with sweet mango and pineapple along with lime meringue and melon. Palate comes off drier than the nose but is still fruit-loaded with pineapple, apple, pear and melon which mixes it up with lime pith and lemonade on the finish and that brings this wine totally into balance from that sweet fruit to the tart refreshing finish – and boy does it linger.
