When you talk or hear about Norm Hardie it’s Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that is usually uttered, but Norman’s been making Riesling for as long as I can remember and it’s a perennial favourite chez-moi. This year it’s a 70-30 blend of Niagara to County fruit respectively and at only 10% alcohol it’s a wine that you can while away the afternoon with 2-3 bottles. The nose shows off good minerality with peach and green apple backing. Palate highlights that green apple with a punch in the buds, followed by peach and that signature Hardie minerality … acidity is quite pronounced and very welcome. Price: $21.00 – Rating: ****+
