Awesome Cabernet Franc defies description, it's so good it just makes you want to take sip after sip and reflect on life's beauty. Such was the case with the 2010 Red Shale and now with the 2012 version.  100% French oak, 30% new for a grand total of 22 months and bottled unfiltered.  Aromas lure with cassis, black cherry and smoky-vanilla; palate is tight with tobacco, cassis-cherry, vanilla and a silkiness of tannins.  This is the best Red Shale since they won best red in Canada at the All Canadian Wine Championships ... and I think this just might be a shade better.  Price: $42.00 - Rating: *****
