(Tasted Sept. 2015) … there’s a new sheriff in town and the decision to curb the sweetness level of the Ice Cuvee Rosé has been made – which in my opinion is a good one. It’s still mainly a Pinot Noir / Chardonnay blend of base wine, but there’s 3.5% Gamay added in to give it both that kiss of pink and a freshness. Aromas retain the notes of icewine (which is added after 12-14 month on lees as the dosage) plus there are notes of tropical fruit and lime – palate is fruity with raspberry tartness and a surprisingly drier than expect finish.
