You know the Clos had a good vintage when even the base-model Chardonnay makes one go “wow”. Here aromas of apple and vanilla meet a touch of toffee; while the palate is robust with spice and fruit, which kicks around on the mid-palate thru the finish with hints of grilled pineapple – there’s a nice balance between the fruit and acidity - the only drawback is the ‘wish-it-were-longer” finish.
