Adamo is a northern Ontario winery property owned by the folks at Hockley Valley; they have 16 acres of Vidal, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling planted up there – and partake of the services of Jonas Newman, winemaker and owner at Hinterland (he does sparkling wine so he’s got plenty of time on his hands). This Chardonnay is part of their Grower’s Series, meaning not from their home farm fruit. Two barrels (1 new / 1 old) were combined to provide a nice balance of fruit to oak and sweet vanilla to spice notes: … peach, apple cobbler along and some spiced-vanilla on the palate, this is one Chardonnay you’ll certainly enjoy.
