Those who poo-poo Syrah in Ontario should make their way over to Kacaba where they make (at least) 3 different vineyard versions, all with very different results. Terraced continues to be an all-star in that line-up: red raspberry, smoky, meaty with a cherry-laced mid-palate and red and white peppercorns … it finishes with some woody-cedary notes seasoned with vanilla and white pepper.  Price: $29.95 – Rating: ****+
