Craig McDonald is trying to raise the bar of Pinot Noir at Hillebrand – here there’s lots of rich dark fruit on the palate with a little smoky-raspberry, cranberry and good acidity which makes this wine not-too-heavy, it’s a “darker” version of Pinot that hits all the right notes.
