Not many people think of Peller when it comes to Gamay, but slowly but surely they are putting together quite the Gamay-resume. This version just picked up a silver medal at the All Canadian Wine Championships, which goes along with their litany of awards and accolades for this and past vintages of the wine: lively red berry fruit, namely cherry and raspberry, juicy mid-palate and good acidity to finish it off.  Price: $18.95 - Rating: ****+
