Last time I wrote something glowing about Back 10 Cellars it was for their Cabernet Franc ... now it’s all about their Chardonnay. Here we have a six barrel effort, wild fermented and resting in Canadian oak for one year. Results are a nose that borders the exotic with vanilla, pineapple and coconut, and a palate that delivers buttery, coconut husk, vanilla and gentle spice – different yet fun with a fully realized complexity from beginning to end. I’m told this one is going fast. Price: $27.95 – Rating: ****+
