Pinot and Gamay seem to be getting the rosé treatment a lot in Ontario, especially together, here it’s a 60/40 split in favour of Pinot that was whole cluster pressed and left 30 minutes just to add a little colour. Appealing nose of floral, raspberry, sweet cherry and a hint of tea leaves; the palate is light in style with nice acid backbone: raspberry, lemon/lime and a subtle earthy note (especially on the finish) – but it’s pretty and dry and the finish just makes it the rosé you’ll love on those hot summer days.
