It’s nice to see Creekside hopping on the Syrah bandwagon and abandoning the misnomer of Shiraz. After an average of nine months in older oak and some new American the nose has been loaded with those typical smoked meat and white pepper Syrah is noted for. Palate is full of raspberry and white pepper but also contains that meaty aspect. It’s a very ripe and ready Syrah with all the proper characteristics of the grape. Price: $15.95 – Rating: ****
