This 40 case Cabernet Sauvignon is made up of one new and one used barrel … when I tasted the wine it was less than 3 weeks in bottle, so I suspect there’s still a little bottle shock, so the wine came across a little lean on the mid-palate, but there was still black cherry, cranberry and vanilla with good balancing acidity – fingers crossed for the “shock” to wear off.
