The Trius Gamay program continues its upward trajectory – this bottling sees 2000 cases produced up from last year, showing Trius is into Gamay for the long haul. 20% of this wine sees neutral oak, while the rest spends its time in stainless steel. The colour is a light cherry red with lovely aromatics to carry it through with cherry fruit on the palate from beginning to end and there’s even a hint of cranberry to help reign in the sweet fruit nature at the core … it’s a tasty bottle worth 30 minutes in the fridge and then just sit and enjoy.
