I think 32 qualifies as old vines in Niagara and these ones come from the Hunter Vineyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It took 10 months to ferment in oak and on lees, in all new wood – 3 barrels. Currently the wine is ripe, rich and round with buttery, apple and spiced peach notes along with a touch of smoke and some cobbler like nuances on the finish, namely cinnamon and vanilla. Give this one 2 more years to fully integrate and mellow, then drink over the next 5 years. Price: $38.00 – Rating: ****+
