Winemaker Amilie Boury has nailed this Pinot and she knows it, but it has taken her years to figure it out. 16 months in 1/3 new oak, all French and aged in “low tannin potential” barrels. Gentle, light and easy with earthy notes that scream Pinot Noir, but there’s also a fruit forward nature to the wine full of plum, sour cherry and even hits of strawberry; Best Amilie Pinot to date – and it looks good on her. Price: $38.95 – Rating: ****+
