I have to admit I sometimes get tired of heaping praise on a wine I know is good year-in and year-out; Dave Johnson has nailed the Cabernet Franc in his portfolio and it continues to be a benchmark, not just for the winery, but for Ontario, and the price continues to be one of its truly best features, if you discount the raspberry and tobacco, which are typical for Featherstone’s Cab Franc – and it seems to consistently deliver the high points of the grape with none of the lows. It once again over-delivers, especially for its price and the long finish just helps carry that point home.  Price: $19.95 – Rating: ****+
