This Cabernet blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc has an interesting pedigree. The Cab is dried and aged 24 months in all French Oak – the Franc sees 16 months of both French and American, but has no drying. Sweet and cooked fruit mesh with cassis and vanilla on the mid-palate. It comes off a little stewed on the backend, but it has a nice drinkability-factor with its cocoa–mocha red and black fruit core. Price $47.95 – Rating: *** ½
