Malivoire 2019 Pinot Noir, Rosehall Run Vineyard

Part of the brothers from a different mother project (or something like that) as Malivoire swapped some Pinot Noir with Rosehall Run in the County and both winemakers got to play with fruit they otherwise would not get. The result is that Shiraz Mottiar (winemaker of Malivoire) has created a Pinot with notes of minerality, earthy, sour cherry and a subtle herbal characteristics; all notes that the County is known for, plus there’s even a dash of white pepper ... It lies a little on the lean side, but some County Pinot does that – and it’s not a bad thing.  Price: $40.00 - Rating: *** ½+
