Hillebrand 2011 Trius Red
One of the words that always comes to mind when Trius Red is discussed is consistency. Since its inception Trius Red has consistently been a quality wine that continues to this day. The ’11 is dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, spent 6 months individually in oak then was blended and re-oaked for another 6 months. The result is a wine with clove and cedar notes along with cherry and cinnamon … it’s not the best they’ve ever produced, but it’s a very good wine for any and all occasions. Price: $22.95 – Rating: *** ½+
