It’s a wine style that’s been seen before and one that has a tendency to confuse critics and wine lovers alike. It’s Pinot Noir that has been made as a white wine. Now the Old Third doesn’t make much, only about 35 cases, compared to the 600 cases of red Pinot they output. This white version is a 50/50 blend of oaked and stainless steel … has tropical notes along with some interesting spiced orange peel and a long finish. This is the first year they’ve made this wine and I have a feeling it won’t be the last. Price: $35.00 – Rating: *** ½+
