They refer to this one as Portage because they have to travel to all four vineyards to get the fruit for it, then they age it for 12 months … but it’s not overly oaky or earthy, in fact it is amazingly approachable right from the first pour. Lightly coloured with sour cherry, spice and subtle earthiness that turns into white-peppered strawberries by the finish. The acidity helps keep it fresh.
