When Between the Lines started out oak was a foreign word to them, well not completely foreign, but very few of their wines (both red and white alike) saw the inside of a barrel. Now with a line of Reserve wines we see their use of oak - this Cabernet Franc spends 18 months in the stuff. A nose of tobacco, raspberry and spiced cedar leads things off … flavours start off cedary with spiced tobacco and hints of raspberry and cherry. Drink now to 2016. Price: $27.95 – Rating: *** ½+
