Last year I declared Lailey’s 2012 Sauvignon Blanc one of the best I’ve ever tasted from this winery – now we have the oak aged version and I can tell you it’s just as impressive. The nose has vanilla from the oak but mixes it up with grapefruit pith and grilled pineapple. Flavours include grapefruit zest, lime and grassy notes while also adding a bitter pith-like element to the finish. Price: $30.00 – Rating: *** ½+
