People might ask why one would review a non-vintage wine only one year after the previous review … because even though there is no vintage date given, there is a primary vintage for this wine – by keeping it non-vintage it allows for some back blending to try and create a more consistent “house style”. Tasting this wine I would say it probably bases itself in 2009 because of its very high acidity. Flavours speak of hazelnut-biscotti and toasted apple, along with a pleasant breadiness … a delicious bubbly for not a lot of dough (no pun intended). Price: $29.95 – Rating: ****+
