Kacaba 2012 Chardonnay - unoaked
This is a very tasty and controversial wine: I poured this for a wine class I teach, against an oaked version, and it split the class in half ... half loved it and the other half thought it too light - so it depends which side of the class you're in as to how you'll react to this, but here's what I can tell you: the nose has apple, tangerine and citrus pith along with a touch of beeswax ... Palate shows lovely acidity filling in the gaps with fruit like apple, pear and tangerine. It's a really easy sipper - for those that dig this kind of sipper. Price: $14.95 - Rating: *** 1/2+
