Poured this wine for a group who were not only opposed to Merlot but Ontario Merlot. So without telling them I sneaked this wine into their collective glasses - fruity aromas of black and blue berries followed by a backbone of raspberries and cocoa ... so far so good. Palate was dark berried with cassis, blueberry skin and finished with chocolate covered blueberries. We have a winner ... easy, smooth and downright enjoyable, a Merlot for the masses; and well priced too. Price: $15.95 - Rating: *** 1/2+
