This 77% Pinot Meunier and 23% Pinot Blanc offering shows that not only does Charmat method bubbly age well, but that you don't need the big guns of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to make it good either. This is a beauty of a bubble with almondine and buttery croissant on the nose ... the palate is interesting as it veers away from the nose, more like a sharp left turn, as it goes tropical with a pineapple-mango smoothie flavour (without the sweetness) - it's a delicious fruit driven bubble in the tropical vein; best of all it shows quite a bit of complexity.
