It's good to see Del-Gatto getting into the Pinot Noir game and this is a good first foray. The nose is mineral and cranberry cocktail - a little odd but it seems to work ... the mineral continues on the palate and along with the addition of cranberry and sour cherry makes it quite smooth and flavourful. Tannins seem to be lacking but there is some nice white pepper giving the wine some bite. Aged 18 months in Hungarian oak. Price: $29.00 - Rating: *** 1/2
