This is a real kitchen sink kinda rosé with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec all putting juice into the mix. Winemaker Derek Barnet said he did it to concentrate and intensify the reds from such a beauty vintage as 2012 … and that’s what makes this such a beauty rosé. The nose has floral, raspberry and strawberry notes, and while the palate starts off sweet it’s nicely balanced by a finish that comes off as tart and bitter with elements of spice; and oh what a finish, the length might make you wait to see what else will happen, but then it’ll make you dive back in for more.
