This is the 2nd second label from Stratus - or put another way, their third label. This Sauvignon Blanc spent 2 years on lees in old French oak barrels which has given the wine a creamy texture, but with a hint of a bitter note to the finish. There's vanilla and spice while the grassiness takes a backseat; it's an interesting and involving wine with a nice finish with a big bite of acid and spice. Price: $24.95 - Rating: *** 1/2+
