A very pleasant white made here in Ontario from a Burgundian white grape that's not Chardonnay. To tell you where Aligote sits in the world ranking it was the 22nd most planted grape in 2004 ... I am sure it has dropped further down the list since then. But the Chateau persists and with good reason, on a hot day it makes a heck of a pleasant sipper. The nose is a mix of peach and green apple while the palate delivers lime and grapefruit zest upon entry while pear and green apple fight on the finish.
