I find myself to be a waffler when it comes to Vineland Rieslings: sometimes I'm a fan of the Dry version and in other years I find myself drawn to the Semi-Dry ... the 2010 is definitely a Semi-Dry kinda year ... but don't get all hung to on the semi-dry name because here's it really is just a name. There is a nice sweet entry but it's after the initial taste that this wine shines it's brightest and best. The acidity is so well balanced that you'll forget all about that sweet entry the moment it hits the mid-to-back palate ... there's a Country Time Lemonade tartness in the middle before it finishes with big acid and green apple ... sweet entry, tart finish and delicious length ... this is summertime in a glass - now buy a bottle and find yourself a patio.
