In good years the Dolmite Riesling is one of the best Riesling values in Niagara … in bad years (for Riesling that’s a hot vintage) it’s still a good wine, it just doesn’t have the longevity – and for some that’s just fine. This 2010 version (form a hot vintage) has all the hallmarks of this series: mineral driven, touch of lemon, crisp apple … but you can just get that hint of petrol which will be full blown by the 3 year mark – so if you like ‘em clean and fresh, drink now – on the other hand, if you like gas on your Riesling you won’t have long to wait.
