This Grigio has the slight orangey colour of peach juice … but it’s mis-named. This Grigio is in the Pinot Gris style of which fruit dominates. On the nose pear and apple, on the palate it’s white fruit driven with peach, pear and apple notes – all slightly sweet. It does have good acidity on the apple skin flavoured finish – but for using the Grigio name on a clearly Gris wine there has to be consequences, so the score reflects it. Price: $12.75 – Rating: ***+
