Union Wines 2011 Rosé
Summer seems to be coming on strong, but even if it wasn’t summer that does not make Rosé an irrelevant wine style, after all holidays and a deep set winter can also be the best time to remind yourself that hot weather will be back. This pink mixture is a blend of Merlot, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet that’s fruit forward and tasty with strawberry and cherry notes along with some sour cherry and sweet cranberry on the finish which does help this wine go from a fruit start to dry finish. It’s a good reminder of why we need some rosé in our lives any time of year. Price: $13.95 – Rating: *** ½
