This wine spent 12-18 months in a majority of new French oak, which is what makes my next statement all the more surprising: the wine has an almost non-existent nose. On the other hand the palate is what really makes this wine so enjoyable: butterscotch, apple, vanilla-caramel and a lovely creaminess and nice weight.
