I will not soon forget the Pinot Noir Estate from the 2007 vintage made at the Cave – it just had so much going for it and took Pinot to a whole new level not often found in Ontario. So I was excited to see how Cave Spring handled their Franc from the same vintage. Nose of tobacco and smoked-blackberry which leads to a smoky blackberry infused palate with black cherry and a nice balance of acidity and tannins. Price: $24.95 – Rating: ****+
