As a Canadian you can find yourself being a bit jaded by icewine - after all we can try it anytime we like - but if you can open your heart and mind to it you can really be blown away by it. I had this one in the presence of two American visitors and the way they fawned over the wine it was almost embarrassing ... but then again ... The nose is apricot, pear, lemon drop with honey wrapped around everything ... on the palate there's honeyed orange-apricot and lemon, but all with great acidity keeping it from being cloying ... the finish is medium in length with lemon drop nuances - and all wonderfully balanced.
