A really good Shiraz from a very good year and a wine with international influence: It would seem that winemaker Marco Piccoli (an Italian) can make Shiraz (an Aussie style) here in Ontario (Canada) with a French (Rhone) twist. You'll find blueberry, black currant and roasted meat - amongst other aromas; the palate seems to take all these aromas and turns them into flavours stirs and adds pepper. A lovely version of this wine from a great vintage for not a lot of dough. Price: $19.95 - Rating: ****+
