Closson Chase 2009 Churchside Pinot Noir
This is the first time these young (planted 2004-2005) Pinot vines have been singled out for their own bottling. 100% French oak with 75% used oak, aged 16 months, has given the wine , and the drinker, plenty of things to be excited about. There’s plenty to be found including earthy, sour cherry, black cherry, cinnamon, vanilla and nice spice. Good balance between the holy trifecta: oak, fruit and acidity. Price: $49.95 – Rating: ****
