An interesting version of Chardonnay that I was surprised to have liked … lots of oak (17 months) and indigenous yeast used during fermentation (always a plus for the final product) – gives off aromas of buttered almond, hazelnuts and baked white fruit … taste-wise it’s soft on butter but spiced nuts come through amid a sheen of toffee – it reminds me of Poppy Cock caramel corn with the addition of vanilla and apple.
